Vacansoleil, the largest camping provider in Europe with operations in 11 sales countries and 22 destination countries, manages a portfolio of approximately 600 campsites. In collaboration with Kabisa, Vacansoleil has improved the quality of their website to seamlessly integrate it with a new backend system.
The previous version of the Vacansoleil website was developed in Python and exhibited a mix of code styles due to various people working on the old project. Integrating the website with the new backend system posed a challenge due to the complex components and the need for code quality improvement.
Kabisa analyzed Vacansoleil’s workflow and investigated the systems, languages, and frameworks that were being used. This led to a GAP analysis with key recommendations to improve both the development team and the website quality. To ensure a smooth transition to the new backend system, Kabisa improved the code quality by restructuring complex components and revising the overall design of the website.
Thanks to the collaboration with Kabisa, Vacansoleil has been able to create an optimized website. The code quality has been improved, facilitating the integration with the new backend system. The refactoring process has resulted in a more streamlined and consistent website. This allows Vacansoleil to leverage their online platform more effectively and better meet the needs of their customers.
Creating a future-proof, reliable and safe infrastructure is a top priority. Therefore, we follow new technologies closely and are not afraid to use them if it benefits the end result.
